Matthew Pickerell (they/them) is an engineering student at OSU who's had a passion since before they can remember for helping others. When they first started working on Go Baby Go cars, now Wayfinders™, in high school, they fell in love with every aspect — from the mission of helping children with disabilities grow and develop, to using the platform as a means to teach middle and high schoolers about engineering, fundraising, and philanthropy. As this hobby grew, it became obvious that the next step was to create PNW Assistive Technology.

Tami (she/her) has supported business and non-profit organizations as an attorney in Oregon for nearly 30 years. She serves as PNW Assistive Tech’s legal counsel and Development Director. In her free time, Tami develops recipes, writes cookbooks, designs clothing, and travels the World.

Dale McCauley (he/him) is a lifelong innovator and the founder of VoltaicDM, specializing in electric vehicle modification. He was previously the Director of InnovationX Academy at Oregon State University College of Business. Over the past 15 years, he has developed dozens of student-led startups in multiple industries, providing mentorship and support through a number of programs. He developed the first Makerspace on the OSU campus and continues to support makers and innovators in developing new ideas and products.

Sander (she/her) has a degree in Biology and English and is passionate about accessible science communication. She became involved with assistive technology projects as co-captain of the South Eugene Robotics Team, and has since continued her accessible communication work with disability justice groups, sexual health organizations, and the National Parks Service. Outside of work, Sander spends most of her time reading, drawing, writing, playing Minecraft, and watering her cohort of houseplants.

Palmer (she/her) is an engineer and graphic designer who is passionate about accessible design. She first became involved with PNW Assistive Tech as the mechanical lead of her high school robotics team, and has helped the Wayfinder find its way from the very beginning. Outside of work, you can find Palmer gardening, playing with her cats, tabletop gaming with friends, or trying out her 500th new hobby.

Alex Lind (he/him) is studying mechanical engineering at Oregon State University. He first learned about assistive technology engineering while participating with the South Eugene Robotics Team and liked it so much that he became co-captain of the team and started teaching others. He likes to teach and work with other people, and loves that PNW Assistive Technology enables him to use those skills to help others. In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time with friends and playing video games.

Torin (they/them) is the mechanic at a bowling alley in Corvallis, Oregon, and has been working with PNW Assistive Technology as a mechanic since the very beginning. They started their engineering work through their high school robotics team, where they taught at annual Go Baby Go camps. When they aren't working, they are probably out in the woods riding a unicycle or climbing.

Calaway (he/him) is an aspiring engineer and avid tinkerer who enjoys nothing more than solving problems. He got involved with adaptive technology and related projects in high school through his local robotics team, and instantly loved the prospect of making things for people who really need them. In his free time, Calaway enjoys making costumes, playing video games, and endlessly re-reading The Martian.

Lucas Dassonville (he/him) is a mechanical engineering undergraduate student at Oregon State University. He started working with adaptive technology after attending the first annual Go Baby Go camp hosted by the South Eugene Robotics Team. From there, he joined the team and returned to the camp the next year as a mentor. Lucas continued with the robotics team, eventually becoming the CAD lead and co-captain. When he isn't working on engineering projects, he loves escape rooms, puzzle games, and cooking.

Anastasia Kaurova (she/her) is a Health Physicist on the path to medical school. She got her start in engineering as electrical lead and co-captain of her robotics team. It was Anastasia's interest in early childhood development that led her to join PNW Assistive Technology in 2026. Outside of professional life, Anastasia loves to build PCs, sail, and ski.
